Yup... I've been dead.

It's been a challenging couple of weeks here in the closet. Lots of work, lots of frustration, and lots of satisfaction.

I've been fighting a really challenging install, and it was giving me all kind of fits ie: twenty-two foot pit, rail brackets misaligned, all work done from ladders (sometimes sixty feet up in the hoistway), and trying to assemble the jacks and pistons with only two people. All in all, it's been a "Bear". I did, however, come up with what I think is a very elegant solution to my problem, and I'm happy to report that it's working absolutely swimmingly.

I recently purchased myself a "King Hell" PC. I'd been running my old P3 450mhz machine so long, that the technology finally surpassed its capability. Mainly, I got the thing just to be able to stream YouTube videos, but I went ahead and got a new video card so I could play some of the more recent games. The first Video Card was faulty, so I had to go get another one, I purchased and installed F.E.A.R., and fought that thing for nine hours before I discovered that my USB keyboard was the thing that was keeping it from running. I nearly chucked all $1,300 worth of it in the nearest damn lake.

Okay, here's the Biggie... Most of you know that I'm kinda "Bad to Drink". My nightly ritual has been to start off with three or four beers, and then switch to Bourbon in the latter part of the evening. It had gotten to the point that I was feeling really rough in the mornings, and wasn't as effective as I should have been at nearly everything I do. I quit the "High Test". I haven't had a drop of it since the weekend before last, and it's helping me out quite a bit. I didn't want to say anything about it beforehand, as it's my problem, and I'd rather report that it's fixed than whinge about how fucked up I felt.

At any rate, things is good and I'm hoping they gets betta.

Yay Johnny! Good for you. :-)

Hope you can continue to bypass the "high test". With all those ladders and um.... rather heavy equipment around - you need all your wits about you to stay safe.
