Dang Furriners

I'm just shocked and/or appalled that that there Furriner would have the audacity, the...the... sheer... unmitigated... gall to talk to us folks in THE GREATEST DEMOCRACY IN THE WORLD in that fashion. I mean...it's just...He's from EUROPE. I mean COME ON!
(/tongue in cheek)

I personally haven't seen too much of the "Euro-bashing" phenomena that he's talking about, but I'm certain that it's out there. All of his talking points have merit, and are based in fact. I like that in a vitriolic post. I'd like to see some specific examples of the "Euro-bashing" though, so we can all laugh and point at the ones doing it. I'd be willing to bet that the majority of the people who are sending thier bad thoughts over to Europe have also tracked their geneology back to the country of their family's origin. In Europe.

Let's remember people, that without Europe, most of us wouldn't be here.

Since I am not particularly afraid of "retribution" in connection with my post the prime example was Beth at She Who Must Be Obeyed and also Organic Baby Farm and others (they know who they are)...

I appreciate the tongue in cheek of it but also that the points have merit. Perhaps it is how we are taught history here (give thanks to those who help, but admit when you are wrong is the basics of it) but also I HATE seeing people who I previously considered to be intelligent (regardless of their nationallity) demeaning themselves with self-rightous rhetoric.

You're one cool dude Sir Johnny of Oh... from both me and Sally

On a lighter note, that was a pretty funny post, Johnny. Brightened up my morning :-)

I'm going to go around saying things like "We haven't heard from Uncle Ted in THE GREATEST DEMOCRACY IN THE WORLD, lately".

"without Europe, most of us wouldn't be here."

... more specifically, without Europe being plagued by bad weather and crazy monarchs, we'd still be in Europe :-)

(speaking as someone whose grandfather left the frozen wastelands of Sweden for the frozen wastelands of Wisconsin)

Ah Harvey, you're partially SWEDISH! Now THAT would explain your prediliction for all things pron related!

Wow! "Sir Johnny - Oh". I guess I've been knighted. WhooHoo! When do I get my horse? ;^)

Dang it Sally. I was going to put a little (tm) and the end of TGDITW, but I forgot. I can't even make any royalties off your usage of my term. :^/

Seriously though. I think you guys are pretty "bitchin' " as well.

Harvey's part Swedish? Make me some meatballs punk! ;^)
